Our German speaking kindergarten Island4Kids works according to “Lehrplan 21”, as public kindergartens in Canton Zug (zg.lehrplan.ch). Our kindergarten opened its doors in August 2021, and offers space for 10 children. The kindergarten rooms are next door to our daycare Island4Kids. Children who attend Island4Kids have the opportunity to start at the age of 6 month (in our daycare) and stay with us until they go to school. Every weekday the kindergarten children can spend the whole day in Island4Kids and get their lunch in our house, which is freshly prepared by our cook daily. The Island4Kids kindergarten is open from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.

The obligatory lessons take place each morning, and on two afternoons (swimming lessons and sport lessons). During the obligatory lessons, we offer the kindergarten children “DaZ” (German as second language). It’s voluntary for the children, but we particularly recommend it for children with a foreign-language background. The children spend one afternoon on the Robi adventure playground in Baar (https://www.robi-baar.ch), and another afternoon yoga classes with Marina Tomic (she is a yoga teacher) take place.

As in public kindergarten, traffic education takes place in our kindergarten. During the school year the traffic instructor from the police visits us and practices the right behavior in traffic with our kindergarten children.

The teacher for dental care visits us regularly. She guides our kindergarten children in proper dental care and instructs them on the importance of oral hygiene.
